Sold price is simply the price at which a home was sold. Most people use this number to track the changes in values from year to year or quarter to quarter. This number can also vary depending on the area.

Price Sold

This graph shows a steady increase in the average price a home sold for in 2007. This number is an average of all homes sold in the immediate Pocatello area. I have stopped updating this graph because its not a helpful number to track quarterly. A better comparison is found under the "By Areas" section.

Price Sold

This graph divides the average price of single family dwelling by geographic area over the past five years. What we can see is an increase the average home price over the last five years in each specific area. This indicates a solid growing market and appreciation in home values. This last year we see a drop in average sales values in the Highland area. This may be explained by a slower market in newer (more expensive) home sales in this area. (updated Jan. 2009)
